A group of handymen went to Amistad Christiana church to work on some projects and others went with a group that did some street evangelism and some did some painting at a home for handicapped men.
The street evangelism was a blessed time.
We aquired several tracks from Antioquia church after folding them and took the bus into town. On the bus we were to talk to whoever and give them what we had.
It was a great chanse for me to practice the little spanish I know and learn some and also more importantly to spread the love of Jesus with everyone we encountered.
We went over to the University of Sonora and also a bilingual school.
I began a conversation with one of the students in Spanish and it ended in English.
We walked around the town and after some lunch was back at the church early afternoon.
In the afternoon the childrens team went to the orpanage again and got to talk with the children about Jesus and the life and hope that he gives. It was a different experience than Tuesday. It was a good time. Also Pastor Bill came Wednesday morning and has been around with the different events. He was at the orpanage today where the Mayors wife came and thanked us.
This evening a youth meeting with Antioquia was planned and this time we did mostly what was planned. We played a few icebreaker games and then I (Charvel) shared my testamony with the kids. I told them about my heart for Jesus and that without Him I am nothing. I also shared about trusting Jesus through the thick and thin and that He is real and working and that His plan is perfect no matter what we may think.
Another girl from the youth group shared her testamony as well before Rob spoke.
His message was about Jaris. He was the man who came to Jesus asking for Him to heal his daughter who was sick and how Jesus did not hold anything against Jaris and went and healed his daughter. (Mark 5) Rob also spoke about scars on our lives from our past and that no matter what Jesus loves us so much.
We had the chanse to just talk with the youth. I sat a table with several girls where only one spoke English. She translated for me and I got to know who they are. I showed them the wordless book braclet and asked if they wanted one. They said yes so I let them make them and I told them about the colors and what they ment. It was a joy just to be able to get to know them and who they are.
*God is working here. Other areas that I haven´t written about are the medical team
the womens meetings and the construction and possibly other teams..
Thank you for the prayers. :)
